Zipline or Quad Bike Around Queenstown?
Updated October 14, 2026 · 5 min read
The short answer. Choose the six-line zipline adventure for a guided forest course with aerial views and no driving. Choose the half-day quad-bike adventure for hands-on riding, rough ground and a muddier backcountry experience.
What you actually do
The six-line course is published at three hours from €109.77. Ziptrek begins at the top of the Skyline Gondola; the gondola ticket is not included in the price. The shorter four-line version lasts around two hours and starts at €84.71. Harnesses and guides control the technical system, but you still need to manage platforms and walking sections.
The quad trip is published at 3.5 hours from €175.43. It suits travellers who want to operate a vehicle rather than follow a fixed aerial course. Expect outdoor clothing to matter more because track and weather conditions shape the ride.
Before booking
Check the exact operator rules for age, weight, footwear and driving requirements; do not assume that eligibility for one activity transfers to the other. Weather and ground conditions can change both outings.
Our recommendation
For most first-time visitors and mixed groups, the four- or six-line zipline is simpler. Choose the quad only when riding the machine is the point of the outing and everyone accepts dirt, bumps and a higher starting price.
